08/22 and 08/26/2008 - Deadlines for ePro Requisitions

Purchasing and Payment Services has established the deadlines for submission of fiscal year 2008 funded ePro requisitions. The requisitions must be approved by the DeptID/ProjID holder by the established deadlines.

Thursday, July 3, 2008 – Deadline for ePro requisitions in the amount of $25,000.00 and above that require formal bids.

Friday, August 22, 2008 – Deadline for ePro requisitions that include any type of agreement or contract requiring approval and signature.

Tax form reminder: Unrelated Business Income Tax Questionnaire

This reminder is directed to anyone who is responsible for an activity which generates revenue (other than tuition and fees) for the University of North Texas or the University of North Texas System Administration.

The University is required to file an annual income tax return (IRS Form 990-T) for any "unrelated business income" generated by the University during the year from September through August.

2007-08 Floating holiday expires on 08/31/08

Eligible employees are reminded that this year’s floating holiday expires on Aug. 31. Unused floating holiday hours do not carry over to the next fiscal year. A floating holiday will be available in 2008-09.

Eligible UNT employees have 14 holidays, including the new floating holiday, each fiscal year. The floating holiday was created to allow eligible employees one day of paid time off during the fiscal year on a date of their choosing with supervisor approval.

Attention:
This email is for anyone responsible for gathering new employee information for international students and non-US citizen employees.

Failure to follow these instructions will result in delayed payment and/or incorrect tax withholding for your employees.

International students and non-US citizen employees who have already completed the UNT Foreign National Information Form DO NOT need to fill out a new one unless their immigration status changed or has been extended.

This email is directed to any university faculty or staff member who is
responsible for arranging and coordinating visits to our campus by
foreign nationals (non U.S. citizens). This includes visits that will involve either
payments made to the foreign visitors or payments made directly by the
University on behalf of the foreign visitors for travel or other
expenses. Please note this does not apply to travel expenses of
individuals who are candidates for employee positions on campus.
