This course will go over the basics of security, current trends, best practices, and more. Users who knowingly interact with sensitive data are highly suggested to attend this course. Fall 2008 Ally Training Program

Lunch is provided.

The purpose of Ally training is to establish a university-wide network of visible allies who are willing to offer a supportive and inclusive environment to all people. The program is open to students, faculty, staff, and interested parties from other higher education institutions. By educating UNT students, faculty, and staff on inclusive language, issues affecting LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) campus community, campus-wide resources, and events related to safe zones.

At the conclusion of the training, participants will receive Ally certificates indicating they have completed the training. Displaying the certificate supports efforts to advance progress towards a campus that discourages discrimination and openly celebrates diversity.
