CITC Information Security will be hosting another security awareness course on Wednesday, July 23rd, from 2:00-3:30pm in ESSC 152. This course will go over the basics of security, current trends, best practices, and more. Users who knowingly interact with sensitive data are highly suggested to attend this course. Fall 2008 Ally Training Program

Friday, September 26, 2008, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. , University Union, Silver Eagle A Suite
Lunch is provided.

The purpose of Ally training is to establish a university-wide network of visible allies who are willing to offer a supportive and inclusive environment to all people. The program is open to students, faculty, staff, and interested parties from other higher education institutions. By educating UNT students, faculty, and staff on inclusive language, issues affecting LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) campus community, campus-wide resources, and events related to safe zones.

At the conclusion of the training, participants will receive Ally certificates indicating they have completed the training. Displaying the certificate supports efforts to advance progress towards a campus that discourages discrimination and openly celebrates diversity.

QPR Suicide Prevention Training July 11 - Learn how to save a life

*Where or how to refer someone who is depressed or considering suicide?

Van Driver Safety Training Classes Transferred to UNT Facilities

Effective June 23, 2008 the Van Driver Safety Training Class will be transferred to UNT Facilities from Risk Management Services. There will be a $10.00 fee collected for each attendee to cover the cost of educational materials, fuel, and van rental. Please continue to register online at the Human Resources website by viewing the Calendar of Events and selecting a course. The first course provided by UNT Facilities staff will be held July 2, 2008 from 9:00 – 12:00 located at the Custodial Services Building in the Facilities Training Room.
