Facilities recently conducted an engineering inspection of the high mast lights on campus and of the Fouts Field Stadium light poles. All poles were found to be structurally sound.
On Oct. 12, Facilities will begin routine maintenance and repairs on 23 of the high mast light poles across campus. This will require lowering of the light rings and spot welding on the poles. Barricades will be placed around the work areas. Crews will work on one pole per day as weather permits. All work should be completed in about a month. Depending on the location of the lights, parking areas and pedestrian traffic may be blocked around each pole as work is conducted.
